Tuition

Trout casting tuition is offered for beginners and intermediate/experienced rods wishing to improve their skills. You'll find us featured by online fly fishing tackle retailer Fishtec in their directory of fly fishing instructors.

Beginner lessons would include:

Equipment assembly and tackle advice, safety, roll cast, overhead cast, side casts, extending and shooting line, changing direction and coping with wind. Fishing knots, fly selection and river craft would also be covered.

Intermediate/advanced lessons would include:

Roll cast, overhead cast, side casts, extending and shooting line, mending line and double haul casts. Spey casts (double and single) jump roll, snake roll and T cut.

Individual one-to-one tuition is available by the half day or day and small groups can be accommodated. We are totally flexible and will advise clients on the best options for them in learning the art of fly casting.

Lessons are taken on trout still waters in Hampshire and Wiltshire with all tackle provided if required.

A full day’s casting tuition includes a two fish permit to fish the lakes.

One-to-one tuition:
Half day (4 hours) £100
Full day (8 hours) From £180 Casting tuition and fishing.

Per couple one instructor for two clients:
Half day (4 hours) £170

Full day (8 hours) From £250 Casting tuition and fishing.
